The story behind every figurine
It began with one dog, one photo, and a wish to hold onto something real.
A dog named Zeus
In the early days, I wanted to do something to honor my dog, Zeus. He'd been by my side through more than I could put into words, and I wanted a way to hold onto that — something more permanent than a photo on my phone.
So I taught myself to 3D model. I sculpted Zeus from a favorite photo, printed him, and spent hours hand-painting every marking with acrylics until he looked exactly right — right down to the little white patch on his chest.
A shift I didn't expect
When I finished, I didn't expect much of a reaction. But when friends and coworkers saw the figurine sitting on my desk, something shifted. People started asking questions. Then they started asking for their own.
One coworker had recently lost her cat and hadn't found a way to properly say goodbye. When I offered to make her a figurine, she teared up — not out of sadness, but relief. She finally had something to hold onto. That moment made it clear: this wasn't just a fun hobby project. It was something people needed.
What PawPrint Studio is today
From there, PawPrint Studio was born — not as a memorial business, but as a celebration of the bond between people and their pets, in all its forms. Birthdays. Adoption days. Quiet Tuesday afternoons when you just love your dog so much you want proof of it on your shelf.
Today, our small team of artists pours the same care into every single figurine that I once poured into that first one of Zeus — because every pet, and every person who loves them, deserves a keepsake that gets it right.
